City Sightseeing Tour of Munich

This sightseeing tour will take you to the Königsplatz, located near the famous art museums Lenbachhaus, Old and New Pinakothek and “Pinakothek of Modern Art”. The tour continues to the students’ and the former artists’ quarter Schwabing. The coach will take you along the magnificent avenues Ludwig- and Prinzregenten Street with their impressive buildings and museums such as the Ludwig's Church, Theatiner Church, Feldherrenhalle (Hall of Generals), House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the impressive statue Angel of Peace overlooking the city.
The fashionable Maximilian Street with its new stunning malls leads to the Residence and National Theatre/Opera House. In the historic part of the town you will see the medieval city gates Isartor, Sendlinger Tor and the world famous open air Viktualien Market. Depending on the timing of the tour, guests can enjoy the Glockenspiel at the central square Marienplatz where the City Hall is located.

Visit of Castle Nymphenburg

After a short city sightseeing tour with a private coach through the City of Munich you will arrive at the baroque castle Nymphenburg, the former summer residence of the Bavarian electors and kings. During a guided tour of the castle you will visit the famous gallery of beauties of King Ludwig I. Afterwards take a walk through the gardens of the castle or the adjoining botanical gardens. After the tour you will stop at the Palmenhaus at Castle Nymphenburg for a cup of coffee.

Visit of the Ayinger Brewery

A private coach will take you to the privately-owned brewery Ayinger which is located in the heart of upper Bavaria.
The brewery is one of the most advanced and high-tech in Europe. It has been designed and built according to the principles of maintaining a sustainable regional economy. The brewing process, from raw materials to the end product, is a true voyage of discovery, one highlight of which is the “Zwicklbier” test at the vat. You will see a 3-D film which shows the art of brewing. The tour is followed by a tasting of Ayinger’s permanent beer types along with a small Bavarian snack called “Brotzeit”. After the tour everybody gets to take a souvenir back home.

Excursion to the Castle Neuschwanstein and Oberammergau

A private coach will take you along the former merchant's road Augsburg - Venice, which leads up to the Royal Castle Neuschwanstein in the solitude of the Bavarian mountains. This castle was built by King Ludwig II on a rugged hill against the backdrop of picturesque mountain scenery. It was prompted by the idea of rebuilding an existing ruin "in the authentic style of the old German knights’ castles", as he wrote in a letter to Richard Wagner. Due to his early death it was never completely finished. The dreamlike appearance of this castle inspired Walt Disney to copy it in his "Magic Kingdom". The guided tour through the castle will be followed by a lunch in Hohenschwangau.
The trip will continue to Oberammergau, where the famous passion plays will take place for 10 years now. You will also enjoy the beautiful landscape and some nice places for shopping. Afterwards return to Munich.

Half-Day Tour to the Dachau Concentration Camp

On 21 March 1933 Munich’s Chief of Police Heinrich Himmler ordered the establishment of the first Nazi German Concentration Camp near the city of Dachau. In the course of the war, the Concentration Camp became a site of mass murder and inhumanity and the prototype and model for all other camps which the Nazis erected in their territory. Famous persons like Leon Blum, Martin Niemoller, Kurt von Schuschnigg and Franz Halder were kept in the camp. The Concentration Camp Dachau, where many minorities have been eliminated, especially Jews, has been renovated and preserved as a memorial to all those prisoners who suffered and died there between 1933 and 1945. A guided 3-hour walking tour will provide a basic orientation on the history of the former Concentration Camp and will lead you to several significant places and buildings.

Excursion to Castle Herrenchiemsee

An hour’s ride will take you to the Chiemsee, the largest Bavarian lake. In the city Prien you will take a boat ride to the Herreninsel (island) to visit the castle of King Ludwig II, a replica of the palace of Versailles. In King Ludwig II’s point of view the French "Sun King" Louis XIV was the embodiment of absolute monarchy. In the New Palace of Herrenchiemsee, designed by Georg Dollmann and Julius Hofmann, he fulfilled his long-cherished dream of building a "New Versailles" as a symbol of absolutism. See the highlights of the complex:  the Ambassador’s Staircase, the Great Hall of Mirrors and the Royal Bedchamber.
Lunch will be served at Schlosshotel Herrenchiemsee. Afterwards you will have time at leisure to explore the palace park designed by Carl von Effner also featuring motifs from Versailles. The private quarters of Ludwig II are located in the former Augustiner Monastery and can also be visited. In 1948 the Constitutional Assembly met in the dining room of that complex to draw up the constitution for the Federal Republic of Germany. The main themes of the museum are "From Monastery to Palace" and "The Birth of a Constitution”. Afterwards return to Munich.
