If you need some time to relax in between sessions, there are different possibilities at hand:

The ICM has a little park on the North side, with benches and a promenade. The area in front of the ICM is also nice to spend a little break, either to take a walk or just sit down on one of the benches and enjoy the little Messe lake.

Close to the congress venue (an approx. 10-minute walk away) the beautiful Riemer Park invites to ease and relax.
The former area of the German Horticultural Show 2005, called BUGA was designed by the French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard. It forms a green oasis of gardens, hills and a lake for bathing. The exceptional design is characterized by a very linear and geometric composition.

One of the most beautiful gardens is the “Friendship Garden”, a present of the town Cincinnati on the occasion of the BUGA 2005. This experimental garden offers North  American nature on 1000 square meters and is located nearby the ICM.
