City Sightseeing Tour of Munich Sunday, 13 July 2008, 10.00 – 13.00 h Monday, 14 July 2008, 14.00 - 17.00 h Wednesday, 16 July 2008, 14.00 - 17.00 h This sightseeing tour will take you to the Königsplatz, located near the famous art museums Lenbachhaus, Old and New Pinakothek and “Pinakothek of Modern Art”. The tour continues to the students’ and the former artists’ quarter Schwabing. The coach will take you along the magnificent avenues Ludwig- and Prinzregenten Street with their impressive buildings and museums such as the Ludwig's Church, Theatiner Church, Feldherrenhalle (Hall of Generals), House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the impressive statue Angel of Peace overlooking the city. The fashionable Maximilian Street with its new stunning malls leads to the Residence and National Theatre/Opera House. In the historic part of the town you will see the medieval city gates Isartor, Sendlinger Tor and the world famous open air Viktualien Market. Depending on the timing of the tour, guests can enjoy the Glockenspiel at the central square Marienplatz where the City Hall is located. Price per person: € 32,00

Half-Day Tour to the Dachau Concentration Camp Tuesday, 15 July 2008, 09.30 – 13.30 h A private coach will take you to the Concentration Camp Dachau. On 21 March 1933 Munich’s Chief of Police Heinrich Himmler ordered the establishment of the first Nazi German Concentration Camp near the city of Dachau. In the course of the war, the Concentration Camp became a site of mass murder and inhumanity and the prototype and model for all other camps which the Nazis erected in their territory. Famous persons like Leon Blum, Martin Niemoller, Kurt von Schuschnigg and Franz Halder were kept in the camp. The Concentration Camp Dachau, where many minorities have been eliminated, especially Jews, has been renovated and preserved as a memorial to all those prisoners who suffered and died there between 1933 and 1945. A guided 3-hour walking tour will provide a basic orientation on the history of the former Concentration Camp and will lead you to several significant places and buildings. Price per person: € 36,00
