General Conditions

Registration and payment
Please use the registration form to register for the congress. Return the form as soon as possible to the congress office CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH. Registrations will be confirmed if payment is received by the congress office by 1 July 2008. Should the payment be received after this date, you will receive your confirmation at the congress counter. Please bring a copy of your bank remittance with you.

Cancellations of Congress participation
Notice of cancellation should be sent in writing only to the congress office CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH. In case of cancellation by 10 February 2008, the payment will be refunded, minus a handling fee of EUR 100. No refund will be made after 10 February 2008.
In the event of cancellations by speakers or other changes in the main congress programme, no full or partial refund of the registration
fee can be made.

Hotel Reservations
Your reservation is binding on the hotel only if you guarantee it by providing your credit card details. Please pay your hotel costs directly upon departure. If you fail to honour a booking, the hotel is entitled to charge the agreed costs to your credit card account. Please also note the general terms and conditions for hotel bookings in Germany: Once CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH confirms a reservation, a binding contract for the provision of hotel accommodation is concluded between the ordering party (the guest) and the hotel arranged by CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH. Both parties are under the obligation to perform their duties under the contract regardless of the duration of the contract. If the hotel fails to provide the reserved room, it is liable to the guest for damages. The guest undertakes to pay the agreed price even if he or she fails to make use of the reserved room. If the requested hotel has no vacancies, CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH reserves the right to arrange accommodation in another hotel of the reserved hotel allotment. In the event of cancellation a handling fee of EUR 25 per cancelled room will become due. After 31 March 2008 the hotel will charge additional
cancellation fees. Please address all communication concerning any modifications and cancellations to your reservation to the
congress office CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH.

Social and Supporting Programme
Sightseeing tours and excursions must be paid in advance at the time of registration. Each tour requires a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not reached, the tour will be cancelled and the full advance payment will be refunded. In the event of cancellation by a participant, no refund will be made. Tickets for the excursions will be issued and are available at the congress counter in Munich.

Liability
CPO HANSER SERVICE is liable in keeping with diligence required of a prudent businessman, according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Regardless of course in law the liability of CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH shall be limited to damages which are caused with aforethought or by gross negligence. However, this shall not affect the liability of the congress organiser and of the persons or organisations responsible for providing means of transport or other services. Verbal agreement can only be considered as binding when confirmed by CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH in writing.

Place of performance, venue of jurisdiction
Munich shall be the exclusive place of performance and the venue of jurisdiction for all parties is Berlin. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
